    How to generate leads

The "Generate Leads" screen is the heart of Scalino. Pick a business type and a location, and Scalino scans Google Maps listings and returns them with contact details.

    Filling in the search form

    Steps

    1. 1Search name: use something meaningful so you can find it later (e.g. "Madrid auto shops – March").
    2. 2Business target: choose the industry you are after. The field is searchable — start typing for suggestions.
    3. 3Country: pick your target country.
    4. 4Region / district: narrow the area down as much as needed.
    5. 5Minimum Google rating: choose 4.0 and only businesses rated 4.0 or higher are returned.
    6. 6Lead count: set how many records you want. The credit cost updates live.
    7. 7Press "Generate".

    How credits are calculated

Each lead costs 1 credit. The lead count you choose determines the cost, shown live in the "Cost" row.

If your balance is too low the button is disabled and an "insufficient credits" warning appears. Lower the lead count or upgrade your plan.

    Fields returned

Some businesses have no phone or website on Google Maps, so those cells are empty. That is a gap in the source listing, not a data error.

    • Business name
    • Address
    • Phone
    • Website
    • Google rating
    • Opening hours

    Recent searches

Every search is stored under "Recent searches". From there you can review past results, export them, or launch a new search with the same parameters.

    Tips for higher-quality leads

    • Be specific: "Italian restaurant" beats "restaurant".
    • Keep the minimum rating between 3.5 and 4.0 — a high threshold shrinks the pool too much.
    • In large cities run separate searches per district instead of one broad sweep.
    • Do not re-scan the same area and industry too often; Google Maps listings rarely change week to week.

    Frequently asked questions

Can the same business appear twice?

Not within a single search. Different searches may overlap; automations deduplicate against previously generated records.

    Are email addresses included?

Google Maps listings do not contain emails. Use the website field to find contact addresses.

I got fewer results than expected — were credits lost?

No. You are only charged for the leads actually generated.
