    How to set up the Odoo CRM integration

    The Odoo integration creates a crm.lead opportunity in your pipeline for every lead Scalino generates — in both one-off searches and automations.

    Create an API key in Odoo

    Steps

    1. 1Sign in to Odoo with a user that has administrator rights.
    2. 2Open the user menu (top right) → "My profile" → "Account security".
    3. 3Click "New API key" and name it, e.g. "Scalino".
    4. 4Copy the generated key — it is shown only once.

    Connect from Scalino

    Steps

    1. 1Open "Marketplace" and click "Connect" on the Odoo CRM card.
    2. 2Odoo server URL: e.g. https://yourcompany.odoo.com (no trailing slash).
    3. 3Database name: your Odoo database. On Odoo Online it usually matches your subdomain.
    4. 4User email: the account that created the API key.
    5. 5API key: the value you just copied.
    6. 6Press "Connect and test". Once verified, pipeline stages and sales teams load automatically.
    7. 7Choose a default pipeline stage and sales team, then save.

    Field mapping

    • Business name → opportunity name and partner_name
    • Phone → phone
    • Website → website
    • Address → street / city
    • Google rating and opening hours → description
    • Source → tagged as "Scalino / Google Maps"

    Sending leads to Odoo

    After connecting, an Odoo section appears in both the "Generate Leads" form and the automation form.

    Enable the toggle and pick the pipeline stage and sales team. If you leave them empty, the defaults from your connection are used. Leads are pushed as soon as generation finishes.

    Updating or removing the connection

    Use "Update connection" to change credentials or "Disconnect" to remove the integration. Records already pushed to Odoo are never deleted.

    Frequently asked questions

    The connection test fails.

    Check that the URL starts with https:// and has no trailing slash, that the database name is exact, and that no spaces were copied into the API key.

    Leads arrive in the wrong stage.

    The stage chosen in the lead form overrides the connection default. Check the form selection or update the default in your connection settings.

    Does it work with self-hosted Odoo?

    Yes, as long as your server is reachable over HTTPS and the external JSON-RPC API is enabled.
